Another Spring

I've come to the point when visiting Red Rock Coulee that I feel like I know each rock individually. Indeed, I honestly think I've photographed each one on numerous occasions. But on the other hand, whenever I go there it's as if I'm seeing the natural wonder for the first time.

Upon arrival this time around there were a lot of clouds in the sky. But I've come to learn no trip is a wasted trip. I started shooting hoping at some point the sun would work its magic. Then, the patience paid off... A narrow opening close to the horizon allowed the sun to peak through and presto!... Warm golden light bathed the rocks, enhancing the lichen and iron content, making them seem to glow.

I wonder how many sunsets and spring seasons these rocks have witnessed?
